Cookies policy
Effective 5 August 2026
Klarvo uses essential cookies and, only if you accept them, Google Analytics cookies that help us improve the service.
1. What's a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Some are essential for the site to work; others are used for analytics, personalisation, or advertising. Klarvo uses essential cookies and optional analytics cookies, but no advertising cookies.
2. The cookies we set
On klarvo.io (the marketing site):
- Analytics choice. Your browser remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics so we can respect that choice.
- Google Analytics 4 (optional). If you accept analytics, Google may set
_gato distinguish browsers and_ga_<container-id>to maintain session state. We use the resulting page and event counts to understand which pages and free tools help.
On app.klarvo.io (the product):
- Authentication cookies — set by Supabase to keep you logged in. Essential. First-party.
- Preference cookies — remember your selected billing period, theme, and similar UI choices. Essential to provide the service you've chosen.
- Google Analytics 4 (optional). The same analytics cookies may be set after you accept them. Funnel events contain product facts such as plan, billing period, or risk tier — never your email, organisation name, AI-system description, or other free text.
Billing checkout is handled by Stripe — Stripe sets its own cookies when you visit the checkout flow, governed by Stripe's privacy and cookie notice.
3. Your choices
Google Analytics remains off until you choose “Accept analytics”. Declining does not affect the service. You can change the choice for this site below at any time. On app.klarvo.io, change it from Settings → Account. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser; deleting essential app storage may log you out.
Analytics is not configured on this site, so no analytics cookies are used.
4. Updates
We update this policy when our use of cookies changes. Material changes are also notified to account holders by email.
